Meghalaya Holiday Packages is built on our Meghalaya itinerary — Meghalaya is built around Shillong and Cherrapunji's waterfalls, but the real draw is Nongriat's living root bridges — a couple of hours' trek down (and, more strenuously, back up) a jungle valley to see rubber-tree roots trained into footbridges by the Khasi people over generations. We flag the trek's difficulty upfront so nobody signs up expecting a leisurely walk.

1. Day 1

   Arrive Guwahati to Shillong

   Drive to Shillong, evening at Police Bazar and Ward's Lake.

2. Day 2

   Shillong to Cherrapunji

   Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Seven Sisters Falls.

3. Day 3

   Living Root Bridge Trek

   Trek down to Nongriat to see the Double-Decker root bridge.

4. Day 4

   Dawki Excursion

   Drive to Dawki for a boat ride on the clear Umngot River.

5. Day 5

   Shillong to Guwahati

   Stop at Umiam Lake en route, drive on to Guwahati.

6. Day 6

   Departure

   Transfer to Guwahati airport for your onward flight.
