Overview
Sri Lanka is a short flight from South India but feels much further once you're in it — Sigiriya's rock fortress and Kandy's hill-country tea estates give way to Bentota's beaches within a few hours' drive. We keep the Colombo time minimal, since most of what's worth seeing sits inland and along the southwest coast rather than in the capital itself.
